Food in Selangor: Fend Ikan Bakar, Kelana Jaya

This Ikan Bakar was simply finger licking good. A good friend of ours introduced this restaurant one afternoon when we ran out of idea of where to go for lunch in Kelana Jaya.

The restaurant offers variety of ikan bakar (grilled fish), from ikan pari, selar, kembung, keli and many others unidentified type of fish (i'm so bad at naming fish)--> u name it, they got it. They served them with air asam & their signature sambal/chili, steam rice & so many variety of ulam (raw salad).

Other than that, u can ask for chicken soup & crispy fried chicken. I can easily finished one serving of ikan bakar as it was delicious. Sometimes, it it unbelievable how a simple dish can be so mouthwatering & tasty, and makes u crave for more.. ;)

It was easier for us to choose the fish as they grilled them out in the open area.

Food In Langkawi: Medan Selera Nelayan, Jln Bukit Malut

This restaurant is another must go place every time we go back to Langkawi. They serves Malay-style seafood using all very fresh ingredients. It's situated by the river at Jalan Bukit Malut.

The foods are delicious & worth the trip (every time). There's one problem though, I'm not sure why, but they took quite a while to serve the food (everytime). So, make sure u had light snack before u come to this restaurant. Other than that, nothing to complaint.

Food In Melaka : Umbai ~ Ikan Bakar Seafood

This is among my favourite place to have great seafood with quite cheap price. Umbai is situated 30km from Bandar Melaka. If you're coming from Johor/ Singapore you need to go out from exit Jasin or Tangkak. Its about 20-30minutes or 35-30km from the toll exit.

Its a worth while exit for a great cheap tasty dinner. Umbai is famous of its 'Ikan Bakar' + with a touch of small nasi lemak. Among my favourite place is Muara Ikan Bakar. Its the 1st shop near the souvenir shop. If you can see the picture i attached, the wholesome meal with 3 of us only cost about RM 120.00 inclusive of drinks.

I can say its value for money meal, plus its not that far from Bandar Melaka. If you like to taste great food. Better try & find this place.

Restaurant Name :- Muara Ikan Bakar

Place :- Umbai - Exit Tangkak, you'll have to meet Merlimau first. Its a small town near the sea.

Price :- Quite cheap with such a fresh & great meal. Make sure you go empty stomach.

For Muslims, there's a Surau nearbys & RM1.00 parking fee.

How to go there? Its near to Melaka town. You need to go through a small road opposite Esso Station. Need to park with a fee of RM1.00 collected by the local village.
